Piarom Dates
Piarom Dates (also known as Maryami Dates) are a premium variety of semi-dried dates grown organically in the Hajiabad region of Hormozgan province in southern Iran. These dates are cultivated without the use of chemicals, ensuring their natural purity. Piarom dates have a deep black-brown hue and measure between 3-5 cm in length. Often referred to as “chocolate dates,” they are considered among the most exquisite and flavorful semi-dried dates in the world. Due to their exceptional taste and appearance, they are also one of the priciest date varieties in both the local Iranian market and globally, comparable to the Medjool date.
With a moisture content under 15%, Piarom dates can be stored at room temperature for over a year without losing their quality. These dates are fleshy, semi-dry, and packed with nutritional benefits. Harvested from October through November, they are recognized for their rich, dark brown color, thin skin, and low sugar content, making them an excellent choice for diabetics. Piarom dates are often regarded as the most delicious variety of semi-dried dates, offering a high nutritional value filled with protein, minerals, and fiber, which are beneficial for digestion.
